True Charity

True Charity is done with modesty and in silence. Your Life Does Not Have To Be A Soap Opera® was born out of the need to give light and hope to those who need it the most. But sometimes consoling a person who suffers is not enough and it is necessary to cover material needs and lessen the suffering of the ones in need.

Our struggle would not have a purpose if we did not strive to relieve the suffering of our brethren. Due to this, we are committed to donating part of the earnings generated by Your Life Does Not Have To Be A Soap Opera® to at least one charity project every month.

We are not trying, in any way, to claim importance for doing this. Charity and pride are counterpoints. We are simply following the lead our Divine Master Jesus, who taught us the true meaning of the following maxim:

“Without Charity, there is no salvation…”

Charity of the Month

We, at Your Life Does Not Have To Be A Soap Opera® are really excited and looking forward to starting the Charity of the Month which has the objective to help those brothers and sisters who are in need of a helping hand.

When great calamities occur charity is filled with emotion, and generous impulses are seen on all sides in the repairing of these disasters. But apart from these general disasters, there are millions of private catastrophes which go unnoticed. These discreet and hidden misfortunes are the ones which true generosity knows how to discover without even waiting to be asked for help.

You Can Help Too

While it is true that we must me charitable at home and with ourselves, true Charity must be done with abnegation and detachment from our own interests. It is easy to help those who love us or help us. But the most beautiful way to express Charity is towards those who have given us nothing, including those whom we consider our enemies.

There are plenty of opportunities to do good and heal the pain of those who suffer. Just look around you! There is always the need for a word of comfort; a loving hand to heal a sick person; an old person who feels abandoned and who will be joyful if you visit and spend time with him or her or a beggar on the street who needs a piece of bread to eat. There is also an endless list of organized institutions that are always in need of volunteers to continue their mission of Love and Charity.

If you want to participate in any of the Charities of the Month, or if you have done or participated in a Charity that you would like to tell us about, please contact us by filling out the form under the “Contact Us” link.
